Like fashion action figures like GI Joe seem to enjoy a cycle. One of the benefits of being “old” is one can enjoy being part of a cycle, watch a toy morph from a vintage action figure to a major motion picture featuring guys such as Dwayne(The Rock) Johnson, Bruce Willis and others.

My connection with a GI Joe action figure began in the mid 70’s and lasted through the 80’s thanks to Marvel’s GI Joe, A Real American Hero comic series and in 1987, the release of an animated feature, GI Joe The Movie.

As I got older and into other things, the Joes took a back seat until now! They’re back and everything I remember.  I can be a kid again! Combined with a child of my own, I now can legitimize my playing again.

Of course, this is only a side benefit of the bonding adventure that is to come.

The recipe to being a kid again is simple, add one child(or two but buy extra), a little free time and you’re back in the day when the only worry was really nothing to worry about at all.

GI Joe Figurines – Excellent Quality

So what if the GI Joe movies aren’t actually that good, they have action, explosions, flying aircraft of all types and best of all, the Good  Guy always wins in the end.

The  GI Joe brand was originally created as a toy and the movies came after, so it’s not surprising that the GI Joe Figurines are much more fun than the movies (this is of course my own personal opinion, but that’s why you’re here, right?), our imaginations, make up where a simple plot left off.

It’s clear to see, though, that Hasbro have put a lot of effort in making the GI Joe Figurines to be the highest of quality – not only in design and construction but also in artwork. The GI Joe movie “Retaliation” features Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson, and as soon as you see the GI Joe Figurines for the first time, you’ll notice these Hollywood Stars in an instant.

Things I didn’t like about the GI Joe Figurines:

These aren’t your daddy’s(wait a minute, I’m the daddy) GI Joes. However, they look like the figures from the movie, they’re designed well and are robust, so the only thing I could think that might put you off from purchasing the GI Joe Figurines is the small accessories that come with the figurines –This small accessories could pose a Choke Hazard!
