Buddies are the furthest thing from the hideous monstrosity their name would suggest. These plus dolls are rather cute to be honest.
Company Profile:
The Ugly Doll is another one of those situations I wish I found myself in. Guy (David Horvath) has a woman (Sun-Min Kim) he loves said woman’s student visa is set to expire. Woman has to leave the country prior to the happy couple wedding.
Straight from a romantic comedy, our leading man writes a letter, at the end, he draws a little creature (which became Ugly Buddy Wage) as a way of saying he will work hard to bring his love back to the country.Flash forward to today, the Ugly Dolls have more than $100million in sales.

What Are The Ugly Dolls?
The Ugly Dolls or should I say Ugly Doll (no “S” at the end), specifically an Ugly Buddy is a rather cute plush doll that is paired up with, you guess correctly, a buddy. The Ugly Buddies are a 9 inch tall stuffed doll that comes with his (or her, I really don’t know) little 4 inch buddy.
Current Ugly Buddies are:
- Babo-Babo has your back in time of need. Messing with you is like messing with Babo, not very wise
- Bop N’ Beep- Bop N’ Beep love to hang out so much, they’ve been attached back to back. Friends 4 life
- Ice Bat-Ice Bat is the a chillin’ like a villain type dude who thinks your cool. Hiding in cool places is his thing
- Ox-Ox as in kisses and hugs is a hugging monster that can’t use his arms. He hugs with his ears
- Wage-Wage the worker, sports this apron while working at an old school, non- chain local grocery store
- Wedge Head-Wedge Head with his one eye knows where you’re coming from and knows you feel him too.
Things You Would Like About The Ugly Buddies
The buddies (the plush versions) are all too cute coming in at around $20.00 for the larger 9-inch version that comes with a 4-inch friend.

Things I Didn’t Like About Ugly Doll Ugly Buddies
I have nothing bad to say about these guys. I will say they fall into the collectible category and
are very addictive. Buy one and you’ll find yourself buying dozens more to complete a collection, let your child’s friend or your friend for that matter see them and they’ll be asking you where to find the Ugly Buddies.
