Klutz formed in 1977, by three friends (the prime ingredient for a success story you wish you were part of) John Cassidy, Darrell Lorentzen and BC Rimbeaux started out as a “failed scam.”  These “anything but working a career” college grads started out as street jugglers for hire.

Later, the guys came up with a great idea to write a juggling how to manual.

Flash forward, Klutz not only publishes how to books, they include items that will allow their customers to not only read but actively work with their hands.

What is the Mini Capsters Jewelry Set?

Mini Capsters Jewelry is a set that will allow your daughter to create jewelry through the use of old fashioned bottle caps. This craft or activity set comes complete with a book containing punch out items, beads and strings that will be used to create decorated bottle caps and the finished product, bracelets.

Things you would like about Klutz Mini Capsters Jewelry:

The set comes complete with 3 large and 15 small bottle caps. The bottle caps aren’t the caps you may remember from your childhood in that the edges are child safe eliminating the chance your girl will cut herself.

Each bottle cap comes pre-punched allowing for easy stringing once your project is complete.

While the set comes complete, there are a few everyday items you may have around your home you’ll need to finish a bracelet. They are:

• Nail Polish
• Paper Clips
• Scissors
• Tooth Picks

Things I didn’t like about Klutz Mini Capsters Jewelry Set

My concerns with this set are minor to be honest. The first concern which may not be one for a child is the drying period. It will take at least 24 hours of drying before your jewelry is ready.

My second concern is the limited amount of caps that come with the set. The good folks at Klutz however solved the problem by making available extra bottle caps available at an additional price ($3.99 as of this writing).

My suggestion would be to go ahead and buy the extra caps up front so you don’t run out before Christmas dinner is on the table.
