Company Profile:PlayMobil
Playmobil, a line of kid’s similar to the popular Lego toys was created by a cabinet maker named Hans Beck in the early to mid ’70s. A maker of model airplanes, Beck was tasked with creating a toy that kids could get their hand around (literally). He wanted the toy to be just tough, but not too tough, flexible but not to the point where a child imagination would be crushed.
His first creation was a set of figures from the past such as American Indians and Medieval Knights. Flash forward to the 21st century, two of Playmobil’s most popular sets revolve around the future of man in space.
Playmobil’s future planet E-Rangers Headquarters and E-Rangers Collectobot play sets were designed to spark a child’s imagination, help them learn problem solving techniques and of course keep them entertained.
Warning These Sets Contain Small Parts-Possible Choke Hazard For Kids Under 3!
PlayMobil E-Rangers-Headquarters(5149)
This thing is loaded down with so many cool features; I want one of my own. Here’s how it works, we’re on a base on an alien world. Our HQ is energy diverse to say the least. It’s powered by “red crystals” that plug into the base.
Once plugged in, were up and running. As if that wasn’t enough our E-Rangers Headquarters has a backup power system! Ready for this, our base is equipped with a solar panel that powers our laser defenses, our LED lighting system and a ventilation fan.
Our Playmobil headquarter is also powered by 3AAA batteries from earth.
The Downside
1. The downside to the Playmobil E-Ranger HQ is the price. Average price as of this writing is about $130.00. In this case, you get what you pay for and more.
2. Playmobil’s clever marketing strategy almost insures your kid will want to extend the fund beyond the base. In plain English, they may want additional gear and equipment for an Extra Base Activity.
A word of caution, if want your child to enjoy this toy first thing Christmas morning, may I suggest you plan on
staying up on Christmas Eve. Assembly time could be as much as 90 minutes.
PlayMobil’s E-Ranger Collectobot
When the time comes for that EBA(Extra Base Activity), the PlayMobil E-Ranger Collectobot is the ticket to fun and adventure outside the base.
Playmobil have for many years now created excellent fun and value for the money, toys which has left kids happy content for a long time now. The Playmobil’s E-Ranger Collectobot (Powerloader) is another excellent creation by them and is set to add more depth to your Playmobil collection.
Current Playmobil fans will love this and if you or your kids aren’t fans yet, the Playmobil’s E-Ranger Collectobot (Powerloader) will definitely change that!
Here’s how it works(in case you haven’t figured it out, I’m used my imagination while playing with these toys), our Collectobot is tasked with bringing back samples that include
Without this future mysterious power source, all of our devices will go dark including our defenses. With our movable hands/pincers and other accessories, we will not fail in our quest for energy dominance on a far away planet.
The Downside
There really isn’t a downside to the PlayMobil Collectobot. It’s reasonably priced (as of this writing I saw them out there for $19.99). As with the E-Rangers-Headquarters buying this toy will create a need to buy more and more future planet equipment and spaceships.
