5 Educational Benefits LEGO Toys Offer
The LEGO Toy Company established and based in Denmark in 1932 was founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen. The name LEGO is a combination of two Danish words, Leg and Godt. Combined these words mean play well.
Thanks to the cool building sets this company has produced, many kids have learned what it means to play well.

1-COLOR
For children learning colors there can seldom be a better toy than LEGO. After all it is a box FULL of bright colors. As construction toys go LEGO and their companion Education Series come in varied colors from bright yellows and reds to dark greens and blues for army and water related sets.
Teaching children the differences and relationships between colors with toy blocks is an amazing introduction to the world of colors.
2-SHAPES
Since 90% of our toy blocks are the standard rectangle it may seem odd that it is used for shape recognition. But as a construction toy it can literally be “shaped” into anything. Even students of bio mechanics and physics have used construction blocks to build 3D representations of real world scientific theories.
Block play offered by LEGOtoys is thought to increase a child’s spatial skills. Spatial skills are those associated with the ability to mentally manipulate relationships between objects.
Folks with highly developed spatial abilities do well in the engineering, mathematics and science and technology fields. Spatial Skills is the ability to perceive or solve problems associated with relationships between objects or figures, including position, direction, size, form, and distance.
3-MOTOR SKILLS
The finite tuning a human undergoes to be able to perform thousands of complex tasks with our hands is astounding. One of the main benefits of construction play is the need to sit and concentrate on finite movements, improving not only patience but physical motor skills.
4-PROBLEM SOLVING
Solving problems is one of the main traits of the human race. Many other animals project problem solving skills in a small way but no other species has the ability to build bridges, space ships, and super computers like us. We are uniquely positioned as the only creature to craft our world to the certain degree.
The user has the ability to construct, de-construct and reconstruct the project at hand, time and time again, helping solve complex problems with simple solutions.
5- FUN
Let’s face it, these toys are fun to build and play with. Never mind your child is learning (on the sly I might) all sorts of real work skills, skills that will give them the edge they’re going to need in this increasingly competitive world.
Bottom line, if LEGO toys weren’t fun to play with, they would sit on the shelf gathering dust waiting to be donated to Goodwill. I can’t think of many toys that offer the unlimited possibilities these toys offer.
LEGO is by far the most recognizable toy brand on the planet, and has made constructing toys not only a pleasant play experience but an art form.
Everyone loves LEGO, young and old, there is hardly a human that hasn’t at least touched a brick of LEGO.
